And the History of SiSú

Our Story

SiSú started in a family kitchen in Limerick, where Brian and Fiona McGann began making the food and drinks they wanted for their own family - something healthier, without giving up on taste or convenience. That instinct became the business, and every product they've launched since has followed the same starting point.

The name comes from sisu, a Finnish word for the inner strength and determination people draw on to get through their day. We gave it an Irish twist by adding a fada to the u — sú is the Irish word for juice, which is where we started.

Today, Brian and daughter Aisling lead SiSú together, building on what he and Fiona started and growing it into one of Ireland's leading better-for-you food and beverage brands. That mix of experience and fresh thinking has brought a sharper focus on innovation - we're constantly developing new products and pushing into new categories, from functional juices, to plant-based alternatives, to premium spirits.

INTRODUCING

Katie Taylor is Ireland's most decorated boxer and one of the most celebrated athletes in the world. But to those who know her, she is also someone who has always led with intention, discipline, and a deep commitment to what she puts into her body.

When Katie first came across SiSú, it wasn't a business decision, it was a genuine fit. The cold-pressed shots, the plant based milks, the clean-label ethos and great taste: these were products that aligned with how she already lived and trained. She became a fan before she became a partner.

That authentic connection led to something bigger. What started as an ambassadorship grew into a co-creation, and together with SiSú, Katie co-founded FIZZIQUE, Ireland's next-generation soda: low sugar, high fibre, infused with magnesium and Vitamin D, and built on the same uncompromising wellness standards that define the SiSú range.
